Welcome to the Open Church Network. We believe that who we are and how we act grows out of our story and our values, and this website is a place where we explore that, and the theology which underpins it.

Our values
Inclusion
An intrinsic value of the Open Church Network, is our belief that God’s love is inclusive of all people, we do not draw distinctions by any measures or barriers invented by people.
Conversation
The vast majority of the writings found in our Bibles were conceived and redacted by communities over decades and centuries; their authorship and reading was a group project. They were written to be shared and discussed by communities of people committed to God’s kingdom. Continuing in that great tradition, we encourage you to contribute to the conversations on this site, to be open to different perspectives, and to continue discussion with your friends and church communities.
Group Resources
We’ve created a number of resources intended to help small groups and churches discuss some of the topics that are explored on the site. We believe that the freedom to ask questions and explore our faith is central to developing into mature followers of Jesus.
If we are to take our commitment to imitating Christ seriously, we should leave no stone unturned, or shy away from any questions.
